Job summary

Solar Transport is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee daily dispatch and fleet operations for assigned driver territories, ensuring freight is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. You will serve as the primary contact for drivers, balancing service expectations and driver satisfaction.

The role focuses on coaching drivers, maintaining DOT compliance, and maximizing fleet capacity while collaborating with customer service and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing transportation, logistics, dispatch, or fleet operations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience coaching drivers or frontline team members.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Ability to analyze operational challenges and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily dispatch operations to plan and deliver orders within service windows.
• Supervise assigned drivers; provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Monitor driver schedules and hours to ensure DOT compliance.
• Partner with Customer Service, Operations, and carriers to maximize fleet capacity.
• Analyze performance and implement solutions to improve efficiency and satisfaction.
• Ensure driver safety and adherence to company standards and pay documentation.
