Job summary

Cowan Systems, LLC in the United States is seeking a Dispatch Manager to lead the daily execution of customer freight delivery and oversee an assigned fleet. This leadership role reports to the Operations Manager or the Terminal Manager and drives process improvements aligned with our safety, service, and quality standards.

The role emphasizes problem solving, driver development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 4 years of similar experience in dispatch.
• Minimum 2 years of dispatching CDL Class A truck drivers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software; knowledge of DOT/OSHA safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch a fleet using real-time management of freight and drivers with high data accuracy.
• Maintain strong driver relationships and onboarding, performance tracking and pay accuracy.
• Monitor compliance with DOT hours-of-service and safety standards; coordinate with management.
• Communicate policy and schedule changes to fleet; mentor drivers as needed.
• Oversee fleet training and performance improvement with HR and Terminal Manager.
