Job summary

Solar Transport in Des Moines, IA / Springfield, MO is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee daily dispatch and fleet operations across driver territories. You will be the primary contact for drivers, balancing service expectations with safety and efficiency to deliver freight on time.

This night‑shift role focuses on coaching drivers, monitoring schedules for DOT compliance, coordinating with Customer Service and carriers, and driving continuous improvement in performance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing transportation, logistics, dispatch, or fleet operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills to build relationships and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily dispatch operations to plan, assign, and deliver orders within service windows.
• Supervise assigned drivers with coaching, support, and performance feedback.
• Monitor driver schedules and hours to ensure DOT compliance and company policies.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Operations, and carrier partners to maximize fleet capacity.
• Analyze performance to identify challenges and implement improvements for efficiency and satisfaction.
• Ensure driver safety and adherence to standards and procedures.
