Job summary

City and County of Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the New Vehicle Check-In Team. This on-site role prepares new vehicles, handles retirement of assets, and ensures accurate fleet data and specifications.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, one year of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and basic knowledge of automotive systems. Strong attention to detail and customer service are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and entry vehicle/equipment information and data.
• Install and remove telematics on vehicles/equipment.
• Install and remove decals on vehicles/equipment.
• Verify that ordered specifications are installed correctly.
• Duplicate and cut keys for vehicles/equipment.
• Perform light maintenance on vehicles/equipment.
• Conduct weekly starts, surplus removals, and inspections.
• Run vehicle diagnostics and pre-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Oversee the pressure washer loan program.
• Handle administrative tasks and data in Fleet Management Systems.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal/external stakeholders.
• Serve as backup for Facility Maintenance Team as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
