Job summary

The City and County of Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the New Vehicle Check-In Team. This on-site position helps prep new vehicles and equipment and handles retirement of assets.

Ideal candidates have basic automotive electrical knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with safety gear provided and a customer-service orientation valued.

Qualifications

• Education/experience can be substituted with equivalent qualifications.
• Requires driving and a valid driver's license.
• On-site role with a daytime schedule.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collecting and entering vehicle data (fluids, filters, part numbers).
• Installing and removing telematics on fleet vehicles/equipment.
• Installing and removing decals on vehicles/equipment.
• Verifying that ordered specifications are installed on new vehicles.
• Duplicating and cutting keys for vehicles/equipment.
• Performing light maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Conducting weekly starts, surplus removals, and inspections.
• Running vehicle diagnostics and pre-trip inspections.
