Job summary

Denver Public Schools seeks a skilled automotive technician to maintain and repair its district fleet, performing annual inspections and safety checks in accordance with CDE and state regulations. You will inspect repairs, sign off on required forms, and ensure work meets DPS standards with a focus on public safety.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy shop while keeping meticulous records using Faster and OBD/Mitchell systems.

Qualifications

• Requires ASE certification and progressive vehicle maintenance experience.
• CDL Class A with endorsements or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficiency in communication, teamwork, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced fleet shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual Colorado Inspector inspections and record defects.
• Inspect and sign off on CDE forms certifying repairs meet standards.
• Disassemble vehicles for inspection and perform major repairs ensuring safety of the public.
