Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet operational and compliant with safety standards. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and complete repairs to keep trucks and trailers on the road.

You will use precision instruments and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot, and weld when required to ensure high-quality repairs. Join a team that values safety, teamwork, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with maintenance tech work, especially truck repair and body/frame repair.
• Must provide own tools for job duties.
• Ability to complete required paperwork and records.
• Must possess a valid CDL when required.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other breakdowns on trucks.
• Read precision instruments and use electronic diagnostic tools.
• Apply welding skills where needed; ensure proper bead quality.
