Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure repairs meet industry standards.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving across a variety of truck and trailer systems. The ideal candidate has experience in truck repair, access to own tools, and the ability to read precision instruments.

Qualifications

• Required High School or equivalent education.
• Must provide own tools to perform duties.
• Experience reading precision instruments and diagnosing electrical/mechanical issues.
• English language literacy for documentation and communication.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment safely and timely, including preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other breakdowns on trucks.
• Read precise measurement tools and interpret readings.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on vehicle systems.
• Weld as required for truck repairs (where applicable).
• Follow DOT, EPA, ICC, OSHA regulations and company policies.
