Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and execute timely repairs across company equipment.

Responsibilities include welding when needed, reading precision instruments, and complying with DOT/EPA/ICC/OSHA regulations while upholding our commitment to top-tier service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or similar.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame repair.
• Must provide own tools.
• Ability to complete paperwork correctly.
• Must hold valid CDL when required.
• Working knowledge of heavy vehicle systems.
• Willing to participate in training and shifts changes.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment safely and timely, perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical/electrical issues on trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Read precision instruments and diagnose faults with diagnostics tools.
• Weld as needed on trucks and converter dollies; ensure quality welds.
• Follow DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA regulations; maintain records.
