Job summary

United Rentals is hiring a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers and office trailers. With supervision, you will perform cleaning, basic maintenance, and repairs to meet safety standards, and assist CDL A drivers on occasions.

You will document work orders, inspect equipment, and travel to customer sites as needed. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to company procedures while supporting 5S and organized work areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active state driver's license.
• Related maintenance experience is a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• Teamwork and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize required information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment and tools.
• Accurately record time and material used for work orders.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Mobile Storage equipment per quality standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on containers, offices, and modular buildings.
• Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers and assist CDL A drivers.
• Complete work orders and necessary documentation on time and within budget.
• Inspect inbound and outbound equipment and follow Rental Flow procedures.
• Operate forklift as needed and ensure safe handling of materials.
• Keep shop, yard, tools, and supplies organized and clean.
• Adhere to 5S guidelines and safety policies.
• Demonstrate safety sensitivity in all tasks.
