Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment, including containers and office trailers. You’ll follow 5S standards, work safely, and document work orders while assisting CDL A drivers when needed.

You’ll perform basic maintenance, read blueprints, and use hand tools and heavy equipment knowledge to complete tasks on time and within budget, with a focus on quality and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active state driver's license required.
• Related maintenance experience a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills required.
• Construction knowledge and background helpful.
• Teamwork and customer service skills essential.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize required information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and warranty process.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Clean and maintain shop, yard, tools and supplies per guidelines.
• Inspections and processing of inbound/outbound equipment.
• Travel to customer sites to set office trailers and assist CDL A drivers.
• Complete documentation and work orders.
• Safely install/uninstall Value Added Products (VAPs).
