Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment, including containers and office trailers. You will perform cleaning and maintenance tasks safely and support Equipment Associates as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma, a valid state driver’s license, and basic maintenance skills. Travel to customer sites and adherence to 5S guidelines are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active state driver's license.
• Related maintenance experience is a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• Teamwork and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize required information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and warranty process.
• Accurately record time and material used for proper work order completion.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards: perform basic maintenance and repairs.
• Hook mobile office to power source.
• Check tire pressure and lugs.
• Complete assignments on time and within budget.
• Complete work orders and documentation on time.
• Travel to customer sites to set office trailers and assist CDL A drivers when needed.
• Equipment Modifications to manufacturer specs and codes.
• Follow 5S guidelines for shop, yard, tools and supplies.
