Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Fleet Technician I to perform maintenance and repair of Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers and office trailers. With supervision, you’ll handle basic tasks, document work orders, and ensure safety standards are followed.

You will travel to customer sites as needed, assist CDL A Drivers, and help keep yards and shops organized per 5S guidelines. Strong teamwork and basic IT skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active state driver’s license.
• Related maintenance experience a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• Teamwork and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize required information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers’ warranty process.
• Accurately record time and material used for proper work order completion.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on Mobile Storage equipment (containers, ground level offices, office trailers, modular buildings).
• Follow safety standards and company 5S guidelines.
• Complete work orders on time and within budget; document results.
• Inspect inbound/outbound equipment and process per Rental Flow procedures.
• Assist CDL A Drivers and set up offices at customer sites as needed.
• Safely install/uninstall VAPs per reservation requirements.
