Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs.

You will read precision instruments, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and perform repairs on trucks and trailers while adhering to DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA regulations in a collaborative OD Family environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Valid CDL when required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and records.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair equipment as needed.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other failures in trucks and trailers.
• Read precision instruments and diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and analyze component parts and systems.
• Weld when applicable to repair truck components.
• Maintain safety and compliance with regulations.
