Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep fleet equipment in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure repairs meet safety and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on repairs, tool usage, and compliance with DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA rules, with opportunities for training and career growth within a team-based OD family.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Experience with truck repair, body and frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Ability to read and record paperwork; valid CDL when required.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules.
• Willingness to participate in training and shifts as needed.
• Strong safety and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform diagnostics.
• Read precision instruments and use electronic diagnostic tools.
• Welding of components; operate in compliance with DOT/OSHA rules.
