Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician in Columbus, OH to keep our fleet in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs with a focus on safety and DOT/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, hands-on truck repair experience, and tools you provide. CDL may be required; candidates must read instruments and operate diagnostic gear accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform duties.
• Ability to complete required paperwork and records.
• Valid CDL may be required.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA regulations.
• Willing to participate in training and potential shift changes.
• Capability to work on any rolling stock as directed.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of company equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other failures on trucks.
• Read precision instruments and use diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on truck/trailer systems.
• Apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules.
