Job summary

McLane is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Supervisor to lead budgets, schedules, and a team of Technicians across refrigeration and heavy-duty equipment. You will drive uptime and safety while coordinating maintenance activities to meet operational goals.

You will train staff, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with safety standards. This role requires flexibility, hands-on leadership, and willingness to work nights or weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent professional training in heavy maintenance.
• 5+ years of maintenance supervision experience in an automotive or heavy-duty shop.
• Strong leadership, organization, accountability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of medium/heavy equipment and diesel repairs.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for repair, maintenance, supplies, and spare parts inventory.
• Negotiate maintenance contracts and third-party support for Transportation.
• Coordinate daily activities of Technicians and inspire productivity, teamwork, safety and proficiency.
• Ensure training and development of the team on all technical aspects of maintenance including refrigeration and heavy-duty equipment.
• Maintain safety processes and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
