Job summary

McLane is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Supervisor in Mississippi. You will lead a team of Technicians, manage budgets, and coordinate repair and maintenance for diesel and heavy-duty equipment. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong safety focus, and effective vendor management.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree or equivalent professional training.
• 5+ years of maintenance supervision in automotive/heavy-duty shops.
• Strong leadership, planning and accountability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem solving.
• Flexibility with hours and shifts.
• Knowledge of Medium/Heavy equipment and diesel repairs.
• Proficient computer skills and maintenance systems.
• 5–7 years experience on diesel repairs, tractor-trailer, refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for repair, maintenance, and parts inventory.
• Negotiate maintenance contracts and third-party support.
• Coordinate daily activities of Technicians and promote productivity.
• Train team on refrigeration, heavy equipment, and safety.
• Ensure staffing and certifications meet requirements.
• Utilize Fleet Assistant to optimize asset utilization.
• Monitor expenses by function and equipment.
• Provide hands-on repairs when needed.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and supplier relationships.
• Communicate with supervisor and peers effectively.
• Work nights/weekends as required for supervision.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
