Job summary

Office of Transportation and Fleet Management Services is seeking a Supervisor to direct multiple teams within a fleet maintenance facility. You will supervise shops, ensure quality of repairs, and coordinate with dealers on warranties and recalls.

The role requires strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, supervisory experience, and the ability to manage safety and efficiency in a municipal setting. Regular after-hours field support may be required.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of fleet vehicle maintenance, diagnosis and repair procedures.
• Working knowledge of safety regulations and hazardous materials handling.
• Ability to direct and organize multiple teams and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor productivity, repairs, and turnaround times for fleet vehicles.
• Enforce safety regulations and housekeeping practices.
• Provide technical training in safety, regulations, and repair concepts.
• Coordinate shop work with internal sections and external departments.
• Dispatch tow trucks and on-road technicians for emergency repairs.
