Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a repair and maintenance team for heavy equipment, trucks, and containers. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and timely repairs across on-site operations.

The supervisor will direct shop activities, perform inspections, coach technicians, and ensure maintenance work aligns with federal and state regulations. Budget management and training development are also part of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• ASE Certification required, including ASE T2 Diesel Engine and ASE Master Certified.
• Prior maintenance supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to lead technicians to ensure safe, efficient repairs and maintenance.
• Monitor performance and redirect activities to improve efficiency.
• Report to management and suggest process improvements.
• Supervise shop staff, conduct training, and handle hiring/terminations with HR.
• Perform inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulations.
• Oversee diagnostics and road tests for complex repairs.
• Manage inventory and budget within approval levels.
