Job summary

Transdev North America is seeking a Maintenance Foreman in Virginia to supervise mechanics, plan and assign work, and maximize labor utilization while ensuring safety and compliance. The role collaborates with the Maintenance Manager to monitor performance and drive quality.

Candidates should bring 3+ years of diesel/heavy-duty experience and a CDL with ASE certifications. The position offers full-time hours with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years diesel/heavy-duty technical experience.
• 3 years of supervision across multiple shifts.
• Valid CDL license and 609/608 certificates; ASE T6/T7/H6/H7.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to diagnose and repair.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanics and assess performance.
• Monitor productivity and perform quality audits.
• Plan and assign work to maximize labor utilization.
• Ensure safety and compliance with reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on root-cause analysis and repairs.
• Oversee vehicle safety inspections and parts procurement.
• Schedule preventative maintenance and manage down equipment status.
• Maintain safe work environment and interact with vendors.
