Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor in Tucson, AZ.

The role leads a team of technicians responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of diesel and other heavy equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with federal and state regulations. The supervisor will plan repairs, monitor performance, coach technicians, conduct inspections, and manage the shop’s inventory and expenses.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in maintenance with heavy equipment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician or management role.
• ASE Certification(s) including Diesel Engine and related systems.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians to ensure safe, efficient maintenance and repairs.
• Plan and schedule repair work to minimize downtime.
• Monitor performance and implement process improvements.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Oversee inventory control and budgeting for the shop.
