Job summary

Mesquite ISD seeks an experienced transportation supervisor to oversee daily maintenance of the school bus fleet and coordinate inspections, repairs, road calls, and fueling documentation to ensure safe operations.

You will supervise mechanics, enforce safety procedures, and maintain accurate records while coordinating with the Fleet Manager and Dispatch to minimize downtime and keep buses ready for service.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher required.
• Texas Teacher Certificate required.
• Master Reading Teacher/Reading Specialist Certification preferred.
• Successful Completion of Reading Academy required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work of mechanics and helpers.
• Ensure safety, route needs, and preventive maintenance deadlines are met.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Schedule inspections and ensure deficiencies are fixed before service.
• Oversee road calls and fleet communications with Dispatch and leadership.
• Monitor telematics data to prioritize repairs and maintenance.
