Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operation during their shift, including preventative maintenance and repairs for a large fleet of buses and sedans. You will supervise maintenance staff, ensure contractual requirements are met, and manage the maintenance program and reports.

The role involves coordinating with managers, scheduling repairs, reviewing work orders, and maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
5–10 years in repair and preventive maintenance of fleet equipment.
At least 5 years of supervisory experience or equivalent.
ASE certification preferred; if not certified, willingness to get certified.
Must have a California Driver’s license and a California DMV inspection license.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with Maintenance Manager and leads to schedule vehicle maintenance on shift.
Review work orders and ensure productivity, safety, quality, and efficiency.
Conduct pre-shift meetings to assign and interpret vehicle inspections and servicing.
Supervise staff on shift and communicate expectations clearly.
Monitor staff time and attendance; approve time off balancing overtime needs.
Train staff on service and repair of vehicles, including basic repairs and electrical systems.
Document disciplinary actions and commendations as needed.
Analyze troubleshooting and track work orders in Fleet Focus MM system.
