Job summary

Metro is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate and oversee maintenance activities across operations areas, supervising technicians and assistants. You will manage schedules, safety, parts, and work orders, and collaborate with Fleet/Facilities managers to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

You will use Maximo for work management, develop replacement plans, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Mechanical Technology or two years equivalent vocational training.
• Three years' experience in a facilities maintenance fleet maintenance environment.
• Prefer two years supervisory experience.
• Must be willing to work various shifts; on-call 24/7 for emergencies.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities for operations areas.
• Schedule, assign, and monitor work based on priority and skill.
• Monitor safety and enforce procedures and rules.
• Order, purchase, and track materials and parts.
• Input and update Maximo data for work orders.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to staff.
• Develop replacement schedules and procurement specs.
• Evaluate outside vendors and services.
• Maintain records and performance data.
• Support customer service and continuous improvement initiatives.
