Job summary

Metro is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate, monitor, and oversee all maintenance activities across operations areas, supervising designated staff. You will collaborate with Fleet or Facilities Managers, Team Supervisors, and Technical Assistants to optimize daily workflows, reduce service interruptions, improve parts availability, and minimize costs.

The role requires leadership, scheduling, training, and strong safety knowledge.

Qualifications

Three years' experience in a facilities maintenance fleet maintenance environment.
Prefer two years supervisory experience.
Must be able to pass entry-level mechanical/technician test.
Must be willing to work various shifts.
Hazmat, forklift, blueprint reading, welding, hydraulics, and computer controls.

Responsibilities

Determine schedules (including overtime as necessary), sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority and skill of personnel.
Patrol and monitor work areas and examine tools and equipment to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules.
Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
Order, purchase, and track materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques.
Input and update Maximo (work management program) data.
Assist in finding replacement parts in inventory and inspect for acceptability.
Model, facilitate and encourage exemplary internal and external customer service and professionalism.
