Position Summary:

As a Penske Maintenance Supervisor, you will use your excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills to engage your diesel technicians, maintain good morale among your team, and keep your customers happy. Your duties include coordinating, scheduling, and auditing vehicle maintenance repairs, including preventative, mechanical, and electrical repairs to tractors, trucks, and trailers.

You will be involved in hiring, training, and developing vehicle maintenance technicians to meet customer expectations. Preferred candidates will have at least 3+ years of fleet vehicle maintenance management or team management experience with strong operational metrics. This position offers growth opportunities into leadership roles and does not require being a mechanic.

This role is located at the Penske facility at 163-01 Rockaway Blvd, Jamaica, NY. It is a 1st shift supervisor position: Tuesday to Saturday, with a salary range of $69,100 - $91,500.

Major Responsibilities include:

1. Prioritizing and assigning work to meet customer needs
2. Ensuring quality, compliance, and safety of assets
3. Controlling repair, inventory, and labor costs
4. Exceeding customer satisfaction
5. Coaching and mentoring technicians and CSRs
6. Monitoring work levels
7. Facility management for a safe and clean environment
8. Performing other duties as required

Qualifications:

1. Ability to work in a positive, fast-paced environment
2. 3-5 years fleet maintenance management or 3+ years team management experience
3. High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate or Tech Degree preferred
4. Strong customer service and organizational skills
5. Valid Driver’s License
6. Proficiency with computers and web applications preferred
7. Compliance with safety and regulatory policies
8. Regular attendance and willingness to travel within the district
9. Ability to pass background and drug screenings

Physical requirements include frequent movement, ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, work at heights, and in all weather conditions. Safety awareness is essential.
