Job summary

Cohen Recycling is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor in Middletown, OH to lead the garage team and oversee maintenance of trucks, trailers, and equipment. You’ll manage priorities, coordinate repairs, and ensure accurate service records while promoting safety and quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical and diesel maintenance knowledge, prior supervisory experience, and familiarity with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Truck, diesel, or heavy-equipment maintenance experience required.
• Automotive or truck diagnostic experience required.
• Brake repair experience required.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Supervisory or lead maintenance experience preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations applicable to commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct garage maintenance team daily.
• Assign and monitor maintenance to support fleet readiness.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections.
• Monitor equipment condition and identify safety concerns.
• Ensure maintenance records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team.
• Promote safety, accountability, and high workmanship standards.
• Coordinate parts, vendors, and repair services as needed.
• Communicate status and priorities to management.
• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs as required.
