A well-established, family-owned recycling company is hiring a hands-on Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily operations at its Middletown truck garage. This position combines shop leadership with practical mechanical work and is responsible for keeping trucks, trailers, and related equipment safe, reliable, and ready for service.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and organize the daily work of the garage maintenance team.
• Prioritize preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform and oversee hands-on truck and trailer repairs, including brake and tire work and engine troubleshooting.
• Coach technicians, monitor workmanship, and promote accountability and teamwork.
• Keep service tickets, maintenance records, parts activity, and vendor coordination accurate and current.
• Identify equipment and safety concerns early and ensure compliance with company requirements and applicable DOT regulations.
• Communicate fleet status, major repairs, priorities, and operational concerns to management.

What We Are Looking For

• Hands-on diesel, truck, automotive, or heavy-equipment maintenance experience.
• Strong diagnostic ability and direct brake-repair experience.
• Leadership experience as a supervisor, foreman, lead technician, or trusted senior technician.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, commercial-vehicle inspections, service records, and DOT-related fleet requirements.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while remaining willing to work on equipment alongside the team.
• Clear communication, strong organization, and flexibility when nights, weekends, or additional hours are operationally necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Roll-off truck maintenance experience.
• EPA Universal Certification, ASE truck certifications, CDL, DOT inspection qualification, or related credentials.
• Experience coordinating parts, inventory, outside vendors, and repair services.
