Job summary

The Service Writer at TSS in Odessa, TX coordinates maintenance for tractors, trailers, and equipment, serving as the hub between Drivers, Mechanics, Dispatch, and Shop Leadership to keep repairs documented and prioritized.

You will ensure accurate service records in Fleetio, monitor progress, inform stakeholders of status, and support timely equipment return to operation. You will also coordinate parts, prepare new Work Orders, and maintain compliance with safety and company SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet maintenance coordination or service writing preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Create, track, update, and close Work Orders in Fleetio per SOPs.
• Ensure all maintenance records (parts, labor, details) are captured in Fleetio.
• Serve as the communication hub between Drivers, Mechanics, Dispatch, and Leadership.
• Maintain regular updates on repair status and equipment availability with internal customers.
• Coordinate with Parts and Mechanics to assign and document required parts on Work Orders.
