Job summary

Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. in Fontana, CA is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee a fleet maintenance program and lead on-site technicians to sustain safe, reliable vehicles. The role requires planning workloads, supervising mechanics and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple yards.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of fleet maintenance leadership, HD engine knowledge and a CDL preference. A strong safety mindset and ability to communicate with leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a fleet repair facility and heavy duty mechanics.
• Knowledge of HD engines, transmissions and mechanical repairs.
• Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations and safety practices.
• Commercial Driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily guidance and support to on-site technicians to ensure safe, efficient work.
• Oversee maintenance, service and major repairs of fleet vehicles with monthly PM compliance.
• Plan workloads and manage preventative maintenance schedules across yards.
• Maintain RTA maintenance program, work orders and DVIR remediation.
• Ensure documentation (registration, insurance, etc.) is current in vehicles.
• Monitor safety policies, conduct monthly safety trainings and inspections.
• Direct shop personnel including mechanics and welders; assign repair tasks.
• Maintain parts inventory and reporting data to Management.
