The role offers a competitive salary of $95,000-$115,000 with weekly pay and a strong benefits package, including Amerit University training opportunities and bonus programs.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years in fleet maintenance or operations and 5–8 years of direct management.
• Prior technician/mechanic experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with heavy truck/trailer repair and maintenance.
• Willingness to travel; oversee multiple shop locations as assigned.
• Thorough knowledge of DOT rules and company policies/procedures.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Word/Excel and fleet systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop employees.
• Monitor employee performance and be accessible to all shop areas.
• Oversee multiple shop operations.
• Plan daily manpower to meet workload.
• Provide support to operations on equipment issues.
• Monitor and analyze opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies.
• Perform payroll approval, scanner downloads, repair order maintenance and compliance documentation.
• Address corrective action for direct reports.
• Maintain clean, safe working conditions of facility and equipment.
• Communicate with client to meet operation needs.
• Identify equipment sent to outside repairs.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Interview and hire shop staff.
