Job summary

Ecowaste Solutions is seeking an experienced Area Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across multiple sites, lead a team of skilled technicians, and ensure our Class 8 fleet remains safe, compliant, and on the road.

The ideal candidate has heavy‑duty diesel repair expertise, at least five years in fleet maintenance with three years in supervision, plus knowledge of DOT/FMSCA/OSHA requirements and fleet software.

Qualifications

5+ years of fleet maintenance experience with Class 8 trucks.
3+ years in a supervisory/managerial role.
Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and maintenance recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance and repair operations for Class 8 vehicles across multiple sites.
Lead a team of technicians and coordinate external vendors as needed.
Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to maximize uptime.
Review work orders, labour efficiency, and parts utilization for cost control.
Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and environmental regulations.
Monitor fleet lifecycle costs and propose replacements or refurbishments.
Ensure technicians are trained on diesel systems and diagnostics.
Drive continuous improvement through productivity and availability metrics.
