Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager in the Indianapolis, IN area (also serving Nashville, TN). You will lead technicians and mechanics in a preventative maintenance program for large/heavy duty vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient fleet operations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in fleet maintenance/operations and 5–8 years in management, with strong leadership, communication, and DOT knowledge. Travel to multiple shop locations may be required.

Formación

• Must have at least 2 years in fleet maintenance or operations and 5–8 years in direct management.
• Prior technician/mechanic experience.
• Familiarity with heavy truck/trailer repair.
• Ability to travel between shop locations.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and company policies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, educate and develop employees.
• Monitor employees’ performance and be accessible to all areas of the shop.
• Oversee multiple shop operations.
• Plan daily manpower to meet workload.
• Provide support to the operations team regarding all equipment related issues.
• Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies.
• Perform administrative functions; payroll approval, scanner downloads, repair order maintenance and compliance documentation.
• Address all corrective action regarding direct reports.
• Provide clean, safe working conditions of the facility and equipment.
• Communicate with client to ensure operation's and company's needs are met.
• Identify and monitor equipment sent to outside sources for repairs.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
• Interview and hire for shop positions.
