Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager in the Chicago, IL area to lead a team of technicians and mechanics in a proactive preventative maintenance program, ensuring safe, efficient operations of a heavy-duty fleet.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in fleet maintenance or operations capacity.
• 5-8 years of direct management experience.
• Technician/mechanic experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel to oversee multiple shop locations.
• Knowledge of DOT rules/regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop technicians and staff.
• Monitor performance across the shop network.
• Oversee multiple shop operations.
• Plan daily manpower to meet workload.
• Support operations on equipment issues.
• Identify cost savings and improve efficiencies.
• Handle payroll approvals and maintenance records.
• Address corrective actions for direct reports.
• Ensure safe, clean working conditions.
• Communicate with clients to align needs.
• Interview and hire shop staff.
