Amerit Fleet Solutions in the United States is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager in the Hagerstown, MD area to lead a team of technicians and mechanics within a proactive maintenance program for large/heavy duty vehicles and equipment.

The role offers a competitive salary ($85,000–$95,000) with weekly pay and bonus opportunities, plus comprehensive benefits and training through Amerit University.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in fleet maintenance or operations.
• 5-8 years of direct management experience.
• Prior technician/mechanic experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel and oversee multiple shop locations.
• Familiarity with DOT rules and regulations.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Fleet Management systems and ERP/timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop employees.
• Monitor employees' performance and be accessible to all areas of the shop.
• Oversee multiple shop operations.
• Plan daily manpower to meet workload.
• Provide support to the operations team regarding equipment issues.
• Monitor and analyze opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies.
• Perform administrative functions including payroll approval, scanner downloads, repair orders and compliance documentation.
• Address corrective action regarding direct reports.
• Provide clean, safe working conditions of the facility and equipment.
• Communicate with client to ensure operations and company needs are met.
• Identify and monitor equipment sent to outside sources for repairs.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations and company policies.
• Interview and hire for shop positions.
