Amerit Fleet Solutions in Cincinnati, OH is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead a team of technicians and mechanics in a robust preventive maintenance program for light to heavy-duty vehicles. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, cost control, and client communication to meet operational needs.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in fleet maintenance or operations management with 5–8 years in direct leadership, plus strong DOT knowledge and technician background.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' industry experience in fleet maintenance or operations capacity
• 5-8 years of direct management experience
• Prior technician/mechanic experience
• Must be able to travel as needed; overseeing multiple shop locations
• Thorough knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop employees
• Monitor employee performance and be accessible to all areas of the shop
• Oversee multiple shop operations
• Plan daily manpower to meet workload
• Provide support to the operations team regarding equipment issues
• Monitor and analyze opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies
• Perform administrative functions including payroll approval and compliance documentation
• Interview and hire shop positions
• Ensure clean, safe working conditions and compliance with laws and policies
• Communicate with client to meet operation and company needs
