Amerit Fleet Solutions in La Porte, TX is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead a team of technicians and drive a proactive preventive maintenance program for heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

The role requires 2+ years in fleet maintenance and 5–8 years in direct management. Travel may be required across multiple shop locations; DOT rules and ERP/timekeeping familiarity are important. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years' industry experience in fleet maintenance or operations.
• 5–8 years of direct management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop employees
• Monitor employee performance and be accessible to all areas of the shop
• Oversee multiple shop operations
• Plan daily manpower to meet workload
• Provide support to the operations team regarding all equipment related issues
• Monitor and analyze opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies
• Perform administrative functions including payroll approval and compliance documentation
• Address corrective actions regarding direct reports
• Ensure clean, safe working conditions of the facility and equipment
• Communicate with client to meet operation's and company's needs
• Identify and monitor equipment sent to outside sources for repairs
• Conduct pre-shift meetings
• Comply with laws and company policies
• Interview and hire for shop positions
