Qualifications

• Two years of vehicle maintenance experience, with at least six months in a supervisory role.
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission truck.
• Must possess a valid driver's license; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance preferred; familiarity with DOT rules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop employees.
• Ensure equipment repairs are completed in a high-quality and timely manner.
• Monitor employee performance and provide corrective action.
• Plan daily staffing to meet workload.
• Provide support to Operations on equipment-related issues.
• Monitor costs and look for efficiency improvements.
• Handle payroll approval and repair order maintenance; ensure compliance documentation.
• Maintain safe working conditions in the facility and on equipment.
• Collaborate with Fleet Maintenance leadership to meet Operations needs.
• Identify equipment sent to outside vendors for repairs.
• Order parts needed to maintain shop needs.
• Conduct pre-shift and weekly Operations meetings.
• Investigate safety and accident-related matters with Safety and other departments.
