Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance personnel and manage equipment readiness at a FedEx shop. The role focuses on developing staff, ensuring timely, quality repairs, and aligning with Operations on equipment issues.

This position requires strong leadership, 2+ years in vehicle maintenance with supervisory experience, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of DOT rules. Travel and safety accountability are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years vehicle maintenance experience with at least 6 months supervisory experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission truck to assess operation.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of tractor/trailer maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop maintenance employees.
• Ensure equipment repairs are completed in a high-quality and timely manner.
• Plan daily staffing to meet workload.
• Provide support to Operations on equipment-related issues.
• Monitor and analyze opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies.
• Perform payroll approvals and maintenance of repair orders and compliance docs.
• Maintain clean, safe working conditions in the facility and equipment.
• Coordinate with Fleet Maintenance leadership to meet Operations needs.
