Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. seeks a Facility Maintenance Leader to manage maintenance personnel, programs, and vendor performance across a district. You will drive preventive and corrective maintenance, ensure asset readiness, and support safe, compliant facilities in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead technicians, monitor metrics, and partner with Operations to keep business operations uninterrupted while controlling costs and optimizing resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience plus two years in building maintenance.
• Two years of leadership, supervisory, team lead, or management experience preferred.
• Experience managing maintenance vendors, service contracts, and facility projects preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, doors, and dock equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Facility Maintenance Technicians, fostering safety and continuous improvement.
• Oversee district maintenance operations, ensuring timely work orders and PMs.
• Monitor performance metrics such as aging, response times, backlog, and quality.
• Partner with Operations to prioritize maintenance needs and support operations.
• Manage vendor performance and relationships while identifying cost opportunities.
• Control maintenance spends through cost analysis and resource optimization.
• Coordinate daily operations, scheduling, and project execution.
• Oversee payroll, timekeeping, work orders, reporting, inventory and compliance.
