Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a technician team in preventive maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and fleet assets. You will plan, schedule, and oversee safe and timely repairs, while coaching staff and ensuring regulatory compliance across DOT/OSHA standards.

Responsibilities include managing shop performance, inventory, and budgets; inspecting outside repairs; and maintaining expertise in engines, emissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems to keep

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role or similar.
• ASE certifications listed above and safety compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to technicians to ensure safe, efficient repairs.
• Monitor performance and redirect activities as needed.
• Lead shop operations, training, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Inspect outside repairs for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee inventory, budget, and procurement within approved levels.
• Maintain expertise in engines, emissions, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose complex repairs.
• Document maintenance activities in Dossier and manage reporting to management.
