Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or GED, and six years’ experience as a fleet maintenance technician including one year lead or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of computerized fleet maintenance management programs and automotive shop operations; familiarity with shop tools and warranty/service procedures.
• Skill in using shop equipment, analyzers, and testers; ability to manage and lead employees and communicate effectively.
• Ability to read vehicle documents and interpret policies; prioritize work and troubleshoot complex repairs; valid Texas driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Fleet Maintenance Superintendent with supervising skilled fleet technicians and maintenance throughout each vehicle lifecycle.
• Serves as Automotive Service Writer during peak hours; manages daily operations and assigns work orders.
• Collects and analyzes KPIs to identify weaknesses and implement corrective procedures.
• Aids in contract development and vendor evaluation for repairs and services.
• Reviews Fleet Management Information System for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Monitors preventive maintenance workflow; collaborates with other Fleet Coordinators.
• Develops vehicle management policies; supports budget development and tracking.
• Researches and documents procedures for complex repairs; assists technicians as needed.
• Supports the Accident Program and risk management with proper documentation and status updates.
