Job summary

City of West Sacramento is seeking a Fleet and Facilities Superintendent to plan, organize, direct, and supervise the Facilities Maintenance and Fleet teams under Public Works Operations. The ideal candidate will have municipal maintenance experience and strong leadership to manage infrastructure, buildings, and vehicles.

Responsibilities include developing SOPs, supervising staff, administering budgets, coordinating with other divisions, and overseeing contracts for maintenance services.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in facility and fleet maintenance, including four (4) years in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience in preventative facilities management and fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements division, department and City goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
• Prepares specifications for procurement of parts and equipment.
• Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned staff.
• Prepares Council reports and departmental studies on maintenance topics.
• Coordinates and schedules work with other divisions.
• Leads the Fleet teams to ensure cohesion, results and accountability.
