Job summary

The City of Burleson, TX is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate the work of assigned staff. The role requires strong supervision and hands-on involvement with the fleet management information system for data input and reporting.

The position also oversees purchasing, vendor coordination, work scheduling, and task prioritization, and provides technical support to troubleshoot and repair vehicles and equipment in shop and field settings.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience required.
• Five years of experience in Automotive/Truck/Heavy Equipment service/repair is preferred.
• Two years forecasting, scheduling, and assigning repairs and maintenance is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; related associate degree preferred.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with good driving record required; Class A preferred or obtainable within 6 months.
• ASE Master Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, evaluate, and coordinate work of assigned staff.
• Act as a power user of the fleet management system for data input and reporting.
• Facilitate purchasing and coordinate with vendors.
• Schedule work, prioritize tasks, and oversee repairs in shop and field.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform scheduled and routine maintenance per policy.
