Job summary

WeDriveU, a leader in shared mobility, is seeking a Maintenance Lead in Chicago to manage a fleet of commercial vehicles. You will schedule and review maintenance with in-house and 3rd party providers, perform repairs, and oversee roadside responses and regulatory inspections.

You will supervise technicians, use Maximo ERP for work orders, ensure DOT compliance, maintain a safe shop, and coordinate with drivers and operations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in fleet management or passenger transport.
• ASE Master Technician certification preferred.
• Experience with Maximo Asset Management a plus.
• Familiarity with DOT, state, and local vehicle regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions across steering, electrical, HVAC, braking, drive trains, and more.
• Schedule and coordinate maintenance with in-house and third-party providers.
• Oversee roadside responses and regulatory inspections for the fleet.
• Lead maintenance staff and assign daily tasks to technicians.
• Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant shop and ensure safety standards.
