Job summary

Sysco Memphis, LLC is seeking an Operations staff member responsible for maintaining delivery equipment, including inspecting oil, fluids, tire pressure, and fueling. This role ensures equipment is ready for daily routes and supports fleet operations.

You will work with the fleet shop and night warehouse teams, perform routine checks, assist with yard organization, and help keep the facility safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Able to write simple correspondence.
• Strong basic math and ability to perform unit conversions.
• Effective verbal and written communication with customers and coworkers.
• Willingness to learn to drive and back-up tractor-trailers and straight trucks.

Responsibilities

• Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
• Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
• Assist the fleet shop when needed.
• Work with fleet shop and night warehouse management to ready equipment for use.
• Aid Wash Bay Associate as needed.
• Keep parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Support the night truck spotters to organize the truck yard.
