Job summary

SYSCO in Knoxville is seeking an Operations associate responsible for daily equipment checks, fueling, fluid level checks, and supporting fleet operations. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork across the fleet shop and night warehouse teams.

You will fuel all delivery equipment, maintain fluid levels, assist the fleet shop, coordinate yard activities, and help keep the lot clean. A willingness to learn and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and report issues.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
• Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
• Assist the fleet shop when needed.
• Work with fleet shop and night warehouse management to ready equipment for use.
• Wash trailers per FSQA schedule.
• Keep parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Support night truck spotters to organize the yard.
