Job summary

Sysco in Texas is seeking an Operations associate responsible for daily maintenance tasks including fueling all delivery equipment and checking fluid levels. You will work with the fleet shop and night warehouse management to ensure equipment is ready for use, and help maintain a clean yard and FSQA-compliant trailers.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience. You will also learn to drive and back up tractor-trailers and trucks as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; able to write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
• Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
• Assist the fleet shop when needed.
• Work with fleet shop and night warehouse management to ready equipment for use.
• Wash trailers per FSQA schedule.
• Keep parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Support the night truck spotters to organize the truck yard.
