Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking an Operations associate responsible for daily equipment checks, fueling, and fluid level maintenance across delivery assets. This role collaborates with the fleet shop and night warehouse teams to prepare equipment for use.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months related experience, and the ability to read simple instructions and perform basic math. Willingness to learn tractor-trailer handling is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Perform basic math and measurements with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Willingness to learn to drive and back-up tractor-trailers and straight trucks.

Responsibilities

• Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
• Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
• Assist the fleet shop when needed.
• Work with fleet shop and night warehouse management to ready equipment for use.
• Wash trailers per FSQA schedule.
• Keep parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Support the night truck spotters to organize the truck yard.
